Beginning Imperfectly

The first step into a new endeavor is the toughest.  As I pondered where to begin, the words from Jadah Sellner, a speaker at the World Domination Summit last summer, came to mind, "Begin imperfectly." And so, that's exactly what I'm doing!

I'm super-excited about this new direction because it's connected to my soul, to what I want to put out there in the world, to what I believe is the foundation for creating a life we love!

It's the topic that I love to talk with other human beings about, fills my bookshelves, and magnetizes me to learn more about in every way, shape and form.

The purpose of this brand spanking new venture is to teach, explore, and learn what we can do to strengthen the connection we have with ourselves. Why? I believe that when we're connected with ourselves (with who we are and what's important to us!) we can create a life we love. When we love the life we're living, it inspires others to do the same and allows us  to share more of who we truly are with everyone in our life.

The website is dedicated to inspiring you connect with you. I'll share from my personal experiences and ongoing research. I promise to be daring vulnerable and genuine, and I encourage you to be, too. I'll give you thought-provoking activities, different perspectives, resources like books, videos, audios, websites and interviews. I'm committed to diving into research about connecting more deeply with ourselves and sharing what I learn with you.

In case you're wondering, I still have my magnificent day job as the executive director of the Sitka for Art and Ecology. I learned about the power of the slash recently from Brene Brown. Here's how I think of it: I am an executive director/teacher. Make sense? We can passionately be more than one thing. We don't have to choose only one.

Here we go! I am imperfectly beginning a new journey. Where will it lead? I don't know. What I know is that I want to inspire people to create a life they love!
